Select by Height

Overview

Select all geometry that matches the height of a pre-selected vertex, edge or polygon. A more advanced version (with Options) allows for the selecting of geometry within a range of heights, as well as, selecting all geometry above or below the height of the pre-selected vertex/edge/polygon.

How to use…

  1. Select one or more mesh item layers
  2. Select a single vertex, edge or polygon
  3. Click “Select by Height”

How to use… with Options

  1. Select one or more mesh item layers
  2. Select a single vertex, edge or polygon
  3. Click on the “Select by Height with Options” button to open the UI
  4. Set the height range and click the Apply button or click on one of the shortcut buttons

Options

Range +
Set the height range above the pre-selected vertex/edge/polygon.
Range -
Set the height range below the pre-selected vertex/edge/polygon.
Height and All Above
Select all geometry that is equal to or above the height of the pre-selected vertex/edge/polygon.
Height and All Above
Select all geometry that is equal to or below the height of the pre-selected vertex/edge/polygon.

Limitations

Geometry is matched and selected based on its original/raw height. This means that matches are made with geometry without taking into consideration item transforms.
